After two summers where racing’s jewel managed to operate in a bubble (thank you SARATOGA LIVE – one of the greatest sports broadcasts anywhere – for keeping the racing flowing, at least on our TV’s and computers) this announcement in Mid-March was certainly popular, and highly welcome!
The return of the fans, all of them, to Saratoga Racecourse in 2022. How sweet it was; and NYRA previewed a 40-day schedule that featured an incredible 77 stakes (including 19 Grade 1’s) and over $22 million in purses.
