SARATOGA SPRINGS – Spectacular summer weather is always welcome. But when it breaks out on a day when rain is in the forecast – doubly so! Such was the case last Tuesday, August 8, as The Wesley Foundation, the philanthropic arm of The Wesley Community in Saratoga Springs, hosted its annual Saratoga 9 & Wine golf fundraiser at the Saratoga Lake Golf Course.
Golfers received a grab-and-go lunch and enjoyed wine tastings along the course, followed by a Party on the Patio of The Hideaway Restaurant following the tournament.
Saratoga 9 & Wine is a nine-hole scramble format golf outing with fun contests and a wine theme. Proceeds will support Wesley Health Care Center’s Life Enrichment Program. This initiative provides ongoing, meaningful social and therapeutic activities tailored to the capabilities and needs of each Wesley resident so they may continue to pursue their interests and passions.
“We are thrilled to continue this summer tradition in partnership with The Wesley Foundation,” said The Wesley Community CEO J. Brian Nealon. “Guests enjoyed a rousing afternoon on the golf course and an exciting after-party, while supporting the Life Enrichment Program’s mission to provide unique, personalized programming that enhances the lives of our community’s seniors and their families.”
This year’s event is co-chaired by Wesley Community Board Member Tara Anne Pleat and Wesley Foundation Board Member Jim Carminucci. The12866 was pleased to be a Bronze Sponsor of this event.
