Yes, yes – our friend and colleague Lisa Elovich, is at it again. Venturing to Mexico; the Founder and CEO of Saratoga-based One With Life Organic Tequila (OWL,) shall shortly return home with a new member of the family.

Meet One With Life Organic Anejo – a new Tequila expression which is aged longer – 18 months, in fact – in an American Oak barrel. This yields a unique taste profile, which is described as a Complex aromatic bouquet and deep golden hue with notes of dark chocolate, orange Marigold, with a finish of agave sweetness and mild heat.

Quality Control is Job 1!

In between tastings, Proud Mama Elovich gushed over the new arrival. “My OWL Tequila team and I are so excited to announce the “birth” of our newest expression from our distillery, Tequila Las Americas,  NOM 1480 in Amatitan, Jalisco, Mexico. The smell, taste and color is phenomenal and I cannot wait for our tequila friends to try this! Our master distiller, Eladio Montes, has been working on this formula with us for the last few years and it is finally ready to be launched!”

Timing is everything, and the best news for local Tequila fans is that One With Life Anejo will be available at stores in the Capital Region in time for Cinco de Mayo this year. Which certainly should make for some festive fiestas. And if I know Lisa, expect there to be tasting events galore.
