BALLSTON SPA – Free movies in Wiswall Park are back for the 16th summer in a row, presented by the Ballston Spa Business and Professional Association, as part of its monthly First Friday activities. The series begins on June 2 (rain date June 3) with “Strange World”. “Minions: Rise of Gru” will be shown on July 7 (rain date July 8), and “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile” on August 4 (rain date August 5). All films are family friendly.
“This year, we are thrilled to bring back the magic of movies back to Ballston Spa with our beloved Movies in the Park Event,” said Liz Biddle, representative of the Ballston Spa Business and Professional Association. “We are excited to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for the community to come together, relax, and create lasting memories.”
The movies are projected onto the wall of the adjacent Front Street Deli building on Front Street in the village and begin at approximately dusk (8:30-8:45 pm). All screenings are free. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. Movie snacks will be available, courtesy of Starpoint Church.
Before the movies, families are encouraged to stroll to downtown shops, restaurants, museums participating in First Friday events, as well as enjoy kid-friendly activities in the park.
The movies are free to the public, thanks to generous sponsorship support from LifeWorks Community Action, Jumper Bean Daycare, Burlingame Orthodontics, Front St. Deli, Next Door Kitchen & Bar, T-Shirt Graphics, Play Hollow, Name Bubbles, SillyCar Design, DB Trends, Canty Financial, Kormos & Co., Ballston Smiles Dental, Southern Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, BARC Youth Theater Group and David M. and Donna C.
