Saratoga Automobile Museum’s ‘Kids Day’ is Fun and Educational!

SARATOGA SPRINGS – There’s no doubt about it.
A day off from school does not have to mean a day off from learning; nor a day off from fun. This was exhibited beautifully as the Saratoga Automobile Museum (SAM) put on another edition of its uber-popular Kids Days during the President’s Day Holiday on Monday, February 20th.
A large number of future driver’s education aces were able to appreciate the suave coolness factor surrounding the Museum’s Bond in Motion exhibit, featuring a half-dozen vehicles that were actually used in the classic secret agent movie series (note: this exhibit continues until November.) They could also marvel over the Model T’s and historic racing cars, appreciate the wonder of CV Whitney’s floating vehicle, get their face painted, and make their own dream machine from some of the 16,737 Lego blocks the Museum had on hand, along with other activities, and snacks.
Education programs are at the core of SAM’s mission – this includes their Distracted Driving Safety Initiative and various automobile restoration programs for local youth – and their WEBSITE lists several ways you can support these efforts that are highly enjoyable in themselves: Their Annual Auto Auction, Brooks BBQ on April 4, and the not-to-be-missed Kids Gala on March 18 are just a few they have in the works.
But for now, (young) ladies and gents – start your engines, and enjoy the gallery.
