Saratoga International Flavorfeast Storms Back to Town

SARATOGA SPRINGS – Global cuisine, spiced up with entertainment from exotic ports of call. That was on the menu throughout Downtown Saratoga Springs on Saturday, October 8, as The Saratoga International Flavorfeast returned for its first post-pandemic (my new favorite hyphenated word!) appearance.
The best news is that ALL the restaurant’s participating on this day are from the Greater Saratoga area. Besides dispelling they myth that this town is a homogenous bar-food and steak mélange, it means that your ‘Visa’ has been extended, so that you can enjoy these foreign delights anytime – like tonight!
But on this afternoon, you were advised to come hungry, and Correspondent Jill Perkins brought her A-Game Appetite: “My first International Flavorfeast was a feast for the eyes, ears and taste buds! The samples of culinary excellence from the participating restaurants along with musical performances & traditional dancing in locations throughout the city were all perfectly mapped out in the International Flavorfeast’s Passport. The city was bustling, the weather was fall perfection and the samples were generous and plentiful.

“My three personal favorites? The Chicken Tikka Masala & Rice from Karavalli; Sushi Thai’s signature Pad Thai; and Cantina’s Mexican Street Corn Dip. No arm twisting needed for me to have seconds of each!”
Indeed, and Jill saved room to take heaping helpings of photos in this gallery for you to savor. Welcome back Flavorfeast!
