SPAC’s Continued Partnership with Double H Ranch Gave Children with Life-threatening Illnesses Access to Free Music and Dance Programming

SARATOGA SPRINGS – Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) announced that it has partnered with Double H Ranch and brought two unique programs designed for their campers this summer including dance workshops by National Dance Institute (July 23-24) and an interactive performance by acclaimed musical group Time for Three (July 29). Following the success of its pilot program in 2019, SPAC’s expanded partnership with Double H Ranch gives children with life-threatening illnesses access to free music and dance programming.
“Bringing these custom programs by world-class artists to children who don’t have the opportunity to experience music and dance is part of our expanded mission to increase accessibility to the arts,” said Elizabeth Sobol, President & CEO of Saratoga Performing Arts Center. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Double H Ranch to bring this meaningful program to the campers.”

“The Double H Ranch is beyond grateful for the important partnership with National Dance Institute and SPAC. Through this collaboration, our campers experience a one of kind program that allows them to feel success and truly understand the power of music and arts. This generous gift of time, talent and compassion provides an opportunity for campers of all abilities to enjoy and thrive. Thank you to the team at NDI, Time for Three, and SPAC for recognizing the importance of our mission and supporting Double H this summer,” says Jacqui Royael, Director of Operations at Double H Ranch.
“We are overjoyed to return to in person workshops this summer with the magnificent staff of Double H Ranch and SPAC,” says Kay Gayner, National Dance Institute Artistic Director. “What a thrill to continue this extraordinary partnership, bringing inclusive and engaging dance and music workshops to children, counselors and the entire Double H community. The children always dance with such joy, inventiveness, and revelation. Their imagination knows no bounds. This is our fourth year with Double H, and our second workshop in person. Beyond words.”
The program on July 29 at Double H Ranch followed Time for Three’s performance at SPAC on July 28, featuring the East Coast Premiere of CONTACT by Pulitzer Prize-winner Kevin Puts. The new work was co-commissioned by SPAC and drew inspiration from Time for Three’s extraordinary energy and spontaneity as a boundary-breaking ensemble.
