Enjoy fine cuisine and a silent and live auction emceed by Dan Bazile, Spectrum News 1 Anchor. Entertainment is provided by the Melissa Sgambelluri Trio. Tickets are available at www.unbridledaffair.org.

“This year’s event is slated to the best yet,” said CAPTAIN CHS Executive Director Andy Gilpin. “We have some phenomenal live and silent auction items, great entertainment, a fun photobooth, and, of course, some of the best food and drink in Saratoga.”
The gala will host three honorees:
- Virginia Touhey and Kathleen Simmonds: A couple dedicated to the betterment of the community and strong supporters of CAPTAIN CHS through their volunteerism, philanthropy, and deep commitment to our mission.
- The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation: An entity who has contributed to the betterment of the Thoroughbred Racing community by saving horses, changing lives. Every day.
- Rachel Alexandra: An outstanding Thoroughbred who has captured our hearts. “This year, it’s more important than ever to have a successful event as we’re continuing to experience a growing homelessness crisis,” continued Gilpin. “The gala and auction are our largest fundraisers of the year and are critical to sustaining our local programming, in particular our services for the homeless and our programs for runaway and homeless youth.”

The gala is complimented by an online auction, running through July 21st with fabulous trips, delicious restaurant experiences, and high-quality, unique items found no where else. The auction can be accessed at www.unbridledaffair.org.
“We can’t believe the quality and quantity of packages, items, and experiences we have to offer this year,” noted Gilpin. “We have unique and rare collectibles, beautiful art and jewelry, plenty of weekend getaways, and packages that suit just about anyone.”
This event carries the major sponsorship of a Tri City Rentals, a Distinguished Friend of CAPTAIN CHS, Dawn Homes Management, Sheila Flanagan, KeyBank, NBT Bank, the Smile Lodge Pediatric Dentistry, and Stewart’s Shops/Dake Family.
“At the end of the day, this event is about celebrating our community, our volunteers and donors, and our work,” continued Gilpin. “We’re continuing to see a year-over-year increase in demand for our services since the pandemic began and are working hard to expand our services despite limited funds. We hope through our in-person event, our online auction, and donations, we can bring in enough to meet the needs of kids, families, and seniors in all of the Counties that we now serve.”
