Skidmore College’s Tang Teaching Museum presents Senior Thesis Art Exhibition 2022

SARATOGA SPRINGS — A tradition continues as Skidmore College’s annual studio art majors’ Senior Thesis Exhibition takes place May 13-21 at the Tang Teaching Museum. An opening reception is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 13. The Department of Art is sponsoring the exhibition in collaboration with the Tang Teaching Museum.

Twenty-nine senior studio art majors will be displaying their work as a capstone to their studies at Skidmore College. The department provides courses in numerous studio art disciplines, including ceramics, communication design, drawing, painting, digital media, fiber arts, metals, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.

Students whose work will be exhibited include Sophie Barbarita, Skylar Bartels, Sam Berger, Nina Bernhardt, Heidi Birch, Laura Bussemaker, Yordy Cabrera Garcia, Michael Campbell, Roman Cohen, Emma Daley, Joanie Estabrook, Sarah Forkin, Joc Geller, Lilly Harvey, Liza Kamen, Orla Keating-Beer, Aleta Kibler, Daniel Lee, Nicki Li, Marly Maddox, Jordan McGee, Dymass Molina, Meri Seder-Burnaford, Beau Sivy, Keira Sullivan, Cailey Surface, Aurora Thomas-Hagerman, Julia Weissman, and Freida Witmer.

The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. Visitors to campus are required to be fully vaccinated, including booster, and KN95 masks (or equivalent masks, i.e. N95 or KF94) are currently required in all indoor public spaces on campus. The Senior Thesis Art Exhibition at the Tang can be viewed during the following hours: during the reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 13; from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 14-15; from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, May 16-18; from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 19; from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 20; and from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 21.
