AIM Services, Inc. Announces Carnival!

Get Ready!

This vibrant and celebratory party will help raise funds to support experiences at local arts organizations for the people supported by AIM!

SARATOGA SPRINGS —On April 2, 2022, AIM will host “Carnival, the party we’ve all been waiting for!” at Vapor in the Saratoga Casino. The lively party will feature music by Alex Torres and his Latin Orchestra, hearty Brazilian-inspired street bites, open bar, photo booth, VIP lounge opportunities and more. Carnival is known as a wild celebration of food, drinks, music and fun—colorful and exciting outfits will be welcomed and encouraged! Funds raised at this event will support exposure to the arts for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, who are supported by AIM.

The event was created because AIM believes freedom of creative expression is one of life’s greatest gifts. Whether it’s through dancing, singing, painting, drawing, music therapy or theater, the people supported at AIM connect with Arts programming in inspiring ways that heighten and enhance many of their other senses and abilities. Meaningful connections organically occur when people are engaged in creative mediums, opening doors to thoughtful and comfortable conversations and other unique methods of communication.

Bo Goliber, AIM’s Chief Development and Communications Officer said, “Exposure to the arts provides life-enriching opportunities that also inspire independence and encourage personal growth. Positive connections and experiences in the community help shape the people we serve and empower their full potential to make meaningful decisions on their own terms. The extensive collaboration that comes from accessing our local arts programming is what makes our community so unique.”

AIM hopes the event serves a few purposes for the local community: They’re optimistic that by April, people will be excited to enjoy a large-scale fundraising event, they’re excited to connect people to AIM’s mission, and they wish to inspire those who are passionate about the arts to understand the impact they can have by supporting opportunities for people with different abilities.

AIM’s Executive Director Christopher Lyons said, “The arts should be accessible to all people. We see first-hand how the various activities we participate in spark joy in other areas of life. And because traditional funding streams don’t cover the cost of these experiences, we rely on fundraising to make them happen.”

AIM has partnered with several local organizations to offer arts experiences, and it hopes to create more opportunities with organizations such as: CREATE Community Studios, Caffe Lena, National Museum of Dance, Expressive Journeys, Saratoga ARTS, Music Movement, SPAC and more.
The event is being presented by eVero and co-promoted with Capital Heart Connection. Sponsorship and Honorary Committee Opportunities are available now, with some amazing perks and VIP seating available.

General admission tickets will go on sale on February 21st. Visit the website for more info, which will be updated frequently.
