Photo Essay: Saratoga On Ice

SARATOGA SPRINGS – Where there is discomfort, even danger – there is often great beauty.

This was proven by our friend Charlie Samuels, who ventured outside amongst the icicles during yesterday’s storm to record these images and the video which appears below. The good equipment he normally uses was left safely at home. Everything was taken with his iPhone – Charlie is brave, not foolish!

Step by gingerly step, the afternoon’s dwindling sunlight provided interesting illuminations on the frozen crystals. Considering the conditions, Charlie covered a good deal of ground downtown to bring us this video, and the gallery which follows. Enjoy!
