The Mighty White Party Sets New Fundraising Record!

Saratoga Bridges raises a record $125,000 (net)

SARATOGA SPRINGS – A record amount, $125,000 (net), was raised at The White Party with a Splash of Color. Held on July 17 at Saratoga National Golf Club, Co-Chairs were Sarah Samascott and Lisamarie Dapper and their amazing committee welcomed a SOLD-OUT crowd of 400 guests who dressed in various splashes of color.

The event encompassed scrumptious food by Prime at National Golf Club, complimentary cocktails featuring Ketel One Botanicals who have been generously partnering with Saratoga Bridges for 25 years, 90+ Cellars and DeCrescente Distributing, Silent and Live Auction, Silly Snaps Photo Booth and the official “White Party with a Splash of Color Band” GRAVITY! Gorgeous centerpieces were assembled by Renee Fina Hicks, Carole Polacsek and Sondra Silverhart with Richard Varney’s assistance.

Jerry Gretzinger of News Channel 13 kicked off the program as an Emcee, and introduced Saratoga Bridges CEO Valerie Muratori who thanked the many sponsors, donors and guests. This was followed by Board of Directors President Dr. Larry Fein, who along with his son Jonathan, shared the vital important work that the agency provides and the necessity to help support their mission.

They then toasted Valerie (who will be retiring after 35 years with Saratoga Bridges.) They then expressed their appreciation to Event co-chairs Lisamarie and Sarah, and Honorary Chairs Doug and Lisa Ford for their long-time support, and gave them prints of torn cardboard collages created by collaborative artists from their Creative Endeavors Art Center.

Valerie then recognized Community Builders Award recipients Lisa and Ed Mitzen and spoke of the agency’s history and partnership with Ed, his businesses Palio, Fingerpaint and most recently their new initiative The Business for Good Foundation. She presented the Mitzen’s with an original torn cardboard collage created by collaborative artists in homage to their “Handsome Cock Farm.”


Auctioneer Steve Rowland opened the bidding on their Live Auction which generated over $26,000 for the agency’s programs and services.  The items and donors were as follows:
