ROCKTOGA 2021 Announced
Benefit for Albany Medical Center’s Children’s Hospital Slated for Sunday, Aug. 1 at Malta Drive In
You KNOW Grand Central Station will be ready to ROCKTOGA!
MALTA – A full afternoon of music and fun awaits attendees at the Inaugural ROCKTOGA benefit, which will occur on Sunday, August 1, from noon – 6 pm on the grounds of the Malta Drive In (2785 U.S. 9, Malta, NY 12020).
This family-friendly event’s proceeds will benefit the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center. The Melodies Center is the only provider of care for children and teens with cancer and blood disorders in 25 counties in the Capital Region and beyond.
A multi-genre music lineup has been confirmed and is headlined by local favorites Grand Central Station, Big Sky, Jocamo and Superposition.
During the day, ROCKTOGA will also have:
- Food Trucks
- Raffles
- Celebrity Guest Appearances
- Stock Car Displays
Other music acts, attractions and details will be released closer to the event date.
Malta Town Councilman Craig Warner described the philosophy behind bringing this new event to the Malta Drive In: “All the organizers wanted to create a major musical event to benefit children with cancer. After learning that The Melodies Center canceled last year’s major fundraising event due to COVID, this association was a no brainer.” Warner said. “We met weekly, putting our thoughts together and started partnering with local businesses to create a family fun event for everyone. No child should be living with cancer!”
Admission is $25 per carload in advance, $30 on August 1. Advance admission can be purchased now by going to https://www.eventbrite.com/e/rocktoga-charity-event-tickets-157992322289
