ALBANY – After receiving its fifth GRAMMY nomination in the past seven years, The Albany Symphony Orchestra (ASO) did that achievement one better – garnering its second GRAMMY award on Sunday evening, March 14.

ASO won the GRAMMY for a recording of Christopher Theofanidis’ Concerto for Viola and Chamber Orchestra, with Music Director David Alan Miller and Violist Richard O’Neill in the Best Classical Instrumental Solo category.

The award comes during a busy week for ASO, which is scheduled to announce their 2021 program schedule shortly. Watch this space.
