The Canfield Casino opened as the Saratoga Club House in 1870, by Race Track founder John Morrissey.  The Casino attracted the robber barons of the Gilded Age of America to Saratoga Springs and also was an integral part of putting Saratoga Springs on the international map.  The Saratoga Springs History Museum is the only Museum that collects, preserves, and exhibits the history of the City of Saratoga Springs and has called the Canfield Casino home since 1912.  The Museum is open Friday-Sunday 10-4 for visitation.
