Always good to begin the proceedings with a little choreographed drone footage…
BALLSTON LAKE – A total of 104 fourth grade students at the Charlton Heights Elementary School (52 in person and 52 virtual learners) began SPAC’s Dance Residency program last week with in-person instruction led by Dennis Moench, former Broadway star and Sr. Director of Education at SPAC. The students participated in one in-person class with Mr. Moench and team, and are currently dancing along with a series of video lessons on the SPAC Learning Library to learn Broadway-style choreography to the show tune “Too Darn Hot” from the musical Kiss Me, Kate.

The students and teachers will participate in another in-person class from the SPAC team on November 20th, after which they will perform their dance by filming individual videos for the SPAC team to combine into a virtual performance that will be shared with the district this December.
