Savory Pantry’s Tasting Night is Back to Benefit UPH
SARATOGA SPRINGS – With the impending arrival of the gift-giving season, it was nice to see this favorite event return. These tasting events always are yummy, and always benefit an excellent, local cause.
This event was dubbed “Feast on This! A Celebration of Food & Community and took place on Friday, November 15, at The Savory Pantry at 486 Broadway. The evening benefited Universal Preservation Hall (UPH,) the soon-to-come year-round performing arts and community events center in the heart of Saratoga Springs.
On hand was Teddy Foster of UPH, to extend Holiday greetings to all!
There are several accent points that make each of these tasting events unique and special – the beneficiary for one thing; also a special featured purveyor – in this case Naomi Mobed of Le Bon Magot brought her award-winning chutneys and preserves, which seemed to be a big hit with everyone. You want to follow Savory Pantry on Facebook to learn about future events, or sign up for their mailing list on their website – they’ve always have a bunch of special stuff going on…
But what makes these events special is their consistent elements, and it starts at the top with Keeley, Stacy, and their team – who are uniformly knowledgeable about the reasons why Patagonian Honey is superior (not to mention knowing where Patagonia actually is!), as well as all the components from their stocked shelves to assemble, for that “just special” custom gift basket for that special someone.
This is a winner, folks. I can’t wait for the next one, and you want to be there too – the happy faces and jammed aisles you are about to see tell the tale. Enjoy the gallery.
