First Tuesday Irish Music Sessions @ The Inn at Saratoga are Worth a Look and Listen

Jamming around the Table: Bring your instrument of Choice – All are Welcome. Or just listen!

SARATOGA SPRINGS – It could be said that the first Tuesday in November belongs to elections; but EVERY First Tuesday, of every month, belongs to an Irish music jam, frequently hosted by Drank the Gold’s Oona Grady and James Gascoyne, at The Inn at Saratoga’s Side Room (231 Broadway) from 7-10 pm.

Grab a pint at the bar, have a seat in the Inn’s side room, and watch them come – one by one, bringing drums, accordions and whistles. Even a harp might make an appearance. And suddenly, the music of the North Atlantic comes alive… here’s some samples:

From the October 1, 2019 Session – Hosted by Drank the Gold

This convivial atmosphere is what the Inn’s Elizabeth Israel fell in love with when she spent extended time in Ireland. It’s part of a great traditional music lineup that includes Tim Wechgelear and Chris Carey, Jeff Walton and Drank the Gold — all playing regularly in the adjacent Tavern room.

So, tomorrow night – there will be political rallies at the Inn’s Ballroom, across the street at the Holiday Inn, and at the nearby Embassy Suites. If you need a break from all that political stuff – the Inn’s Side Room might seem like an oasis to you. It’s work a look and listen.

Tomorrow evening’s Irish Session at the Inn at Saratoga will be hosted by Kara Doyle & Len Broiles. Drank the Gold will host the next session on Tuesday, December 3. You can also see Drank the Gold at the Inn’s Tavern Room on Saturdays, November 23 and December 14.
