Chef’s Challenge – Harvey’s Scores a Double Win!

SARATOGA SPRINGS – The Chef’s Challenge to Benefit Big Brothers / Big Sisters of the Capital Region saw challenger Harvey’s Restaurant score a victory in the centerpiece event: An Iron-Chef style Culinary cook-off (the secret ingredient being rhubarb!) in a spirited battle against four-time Champion Chef Thomas Gulbrandsen from the Courtyard by Marriott.

Harvey’s also won the coveted shaker in the cocktail challenge for their “Harvey’s Hangup.” The event took place on Thursday, May 23rd at the Excelsior Springs Event Center.

“Nothing But Bundt” took the dessert award; while The Adelphi Hotel’s Ribs + Slaw took the “People’s Challenge” Award, thereby earning a slot to challenge Harvey’s at next year’s event.
